Me and Higgo one of the local birders went out in the punt this afternoon for a few hours to see if we could catch up with  the Slavonian Grebes I found last week , on the way we saw the Brent Geese near Bar Point and there were several Great Northern Divers around the Islands but there was no sign of thew Slavonian Grebes , so we headed off towards Tresco were the Black-necked Grebes had been seen near Carn-near and were still there when we arrived , we carried on towards Samson and found a small group of  Grey Plovers, and before heading back home we  had a look through the Ducks on the Samson shore were there was a mixture of Teal Gadwall and Mallard as we approached the group of  Mallard I noticed there was a very Dark looking Bird that looked good for a American Black Duck they all took flight as we approached I managed to get a few shots before it flew off with the rest of the Mallards , the photos comfirmed it to be a Black Duck as we thought.
