Great Shearwater (Puffinus Gravis)


Some more photos of Great Shearwater from last nights Pelagic on which we saw 5 Great Shearwaters 3 Sooty Shearwaters 3 Bonxies and we also tagged 4 Blue Sharks .

  3. Super pictures..fantastic bird.it seems to have a large wing span but none of my give this information.can you help ?

  5. Great Shearwaters have a wing span 100-118cm (3.8ft) they visit the North atlantic during the southern winter. They only have 3 main breeding sites which are nightingale island -Tristan Da Cunha group and Gough island.
