Black Kite

On the way back from the Seabird trip one of the visitors spotted a large bird of prey being mobbed Will Wagstaff and John Higginson soon identified it as a Black Kite and i managed to get this record shot of it being mobbed by this crow.

  3. Hi all,

The black kite is a medium-sized bird. It can be distinguished from the red kite by its slightly smaller size, less forked tail, visible in flight and generally dark plumage without any rufous. The sexes are alike. Thanks a lot......
