Joe Pender: I am a born and bred Scillonian and have been running a passenger boat in scilly since 1992 when I took over from my Dad who had the Lily Of Laguna. I now have the Sapphire which I had built in 2000 which is a 15.5m Kingfisher. Most of my Photos are taken on the Pelagic trips I have been running for over 15 years I have become a proficient sea birder and photographer. Over the years we have logged prized rarities such as Fea's Petrel,Scopoli's Shearwater, Madeiran Storm Petrel and Swinhoe's Storm Petrel with Wilsons Storm Petrel seen regulary in July and August we logged over 40 last year.We see all the large Shearwaters and globally threatened Balearic Shearwater and many other quality species like long-Tailed Skua,Sabines Gull and Grey Phalarope.
