Hoopoe



I saw at least 10 Hoopoe around the resort we were staying in and one group of 7 feeding on a nearby hotels lawn .

    Hoopoes make seasonal movements in response to rain in some regions such as in Ceylon and in the Western Ghats. Birds have been seen at high altitudes during migration across the Himalayas and was recorded at about 6400 m by the first Mount Everest Expedition. Thanks......

  2. we have actually had a hoopoe in norfolk this week! didn't get to see it! hope you had a good holiday Joe...you deserve it....after looking after aii us visitors so well.
