This Water Pipit was behind the quay on St Mary's. They breed in the mountains of southern Europe and southern temperate Asia across to China. It is a short-distance migrant moving to wet open lowlands such as marshes and flooded fields in winter.

I found this Long-tailed Duck yesterday near Tresco and relocated it this morning near Tean and managed to get a few pics.

This group of Common Scoters is the largest flock we have around the Islands for a long time . These we near the Eastern Isles this afternoon.

I took these pics over the last couple of days, the Red throated diver was in St Mary's harbour, the Great Northern diver was near Tresco and the Common Scoters are all around the Island at the moment with a group of 21.
